This is Jessi.
Jessi is an artist.
She participates in speech and drama at her school. She sketches. She creates art pieces for her family to give as gifts. I can think of no better way to use her gifts than to share them with the people she cares most about. That is truly special.
I was so excited to receive a message from her asking to schedule a winter Senior Photography session. It isn’t often that someone considers the potential that winter has to lend itself to amazing, creative, unique images. We crossed our fingers (and toes since this IS Nebraska after all) for good weather, and boy, did Mother Nature deliver! The residual snow from a few days previous was just enough to provide a lovely touch to accent her beautiful wardrobe selections. My friend, hair and make-up artist, Macy used her talents to enhance Jessi’s beautiful features as we chatted about Jessi’s upcoming Speech season, chatted about her future career decision to study Elementary Education, and talked about the arts.
Afterward, we ventured off to our locations, meeting up with a very friendly dog that kept us entertained along the way. We laughed, squealed over the amazing light, and chatted until the sun went down. That is what I call a perfect afternoon.
Thanks for choosing me to capture this special time in your life Jessi. You and your mom were simple lovely, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon with you both.
