What a beautiful night for a Love Shoot!
The phone rings. “Hey Lucas, what’s up?” We proceed to chit chat.
“Well, I got engaged last night.”
” You did! That’s awesome!!! Congratulations!”
“I’m calling to see about some pictures.”
“Yay!”
I could go on about how that all played out, but the bottom line is that I was ECSTATIC for my friend. He and my husband were classmates in high school, he was in our wedding, he manages our local lumber yard where we do all of our business, he has helped us on countless projects and my husband (not me) has helped him on countless projects, we’ve been tubing together, barbequed together… we’ve just had a lot of good times with this guy.
Words can’t express how happy I am that he has found his special girl.
This is Erin. She’s a self proclaimed tree planting environmentalist who also happens to be a talented belly dancer. When I asked them if they thought of themselves as an “opposites attract” or “two peas in a pod” type couple, they said (in unison) “two peas in a pod…on most things”.
It was adorable, and we giggled about the irony of a “tree hugger” marrying the manager of a lumber yard. LOL!
Words can’t express how happy I am for you both. Congratulations on your new life together!
