Custer County Nebraska Maternity and Newborn Photographer: Jennie M. Melham Memorial Hospital New Mothers… A Gift For You!

A few months back, I was fortunate enough to connect with Mr. Mike Steckler, hospital administrator for Jennie M. Melham Memorial Hospital in Broken Bow, Nebraska.  The hospital has a beautiful new Labor and Delivery Wing and we thought it could use a personal touch, so together we came up with an art display for the wing’s main hallway.  Being an alumni of Broken Bow High School, and still having roots in Custer County (my family ranches East of Broken Bow near Weissert, where I grew up), I am in the area quite often, and was beyond honored to be able to put together a collection of images for the display.  My handyman husband and I installed it on Wednesday morning, and it looks just as I envisioned it when I was working on the design.

BUT…JUST to the right of this display is another space  waiting to be filled.   We both thought it would be wonderful to build a collection of images of babies who are born at Jennie M. Melham.  It would lend that personal touch that makes it extra special.

SO.  There are now some special cards being included in all the bags going home with Jennie Melham’s soon-to-be mothers.  When you book a session, you will receive a gift from me, and one of the photographs from our session together may then be used to create another display in the hospital’s Labor and Delivery wing!  This offer is good for both maternity and newborn sessions, and may even be extended to clients who choose my “Baby’s First Year” collection.  This will be an ongoing collaboration, and I hope to make this a special tradition.

I believe in community.  I was born at Jennie M. Melham, as were my siblings.  They have always taken good care of us and of our families…most recently, a few years ago when my husband had and unfortunate roping accident at our annual cattle branding.  It was because of the urgent care he received at Jennie Melham before being sent to Kearney, that he can use his hands the way he does today.  Though we have moved to Holt County and put down new roots, my roots are still planted deep in Custer County.  I visit often, and photographing beautiful babies is just one more good reason.
