Sister is probably the most competitive relationship within the family, but once the sisters are grown, it becomes the strongest relationship.
~Margaret Mead
I had another couple of cuties come visit me today, and if you think they look familiar, it it is because they came to see me last year around this same time. Margaret Mead’s quote stood out to me when I got to this image because these two girls reminded me SO much of my sister and me. Emma, the older sister, was my helper. Quiet, and a bit shy, she listened to everything I said, followed instruction, and just aimed to please both me and her aunt. Jenna, she reminded me of, well…me. Little Miss Independent took a bit to warm up to me, she was more interested in exploring with her stuffed bunny rabbit and getting laughs from her audience than she was of taking “pretty pictures” for her momma. But, this is what I love about working with children. They each have their own unique personalities and their own unique gifts. Emma was SO patient, and helped guide her little sister, making a game out of the experience, which was the perfect thing to do. Jenna’s spunky personality shone through in her smile, and Emma’s shy, but kind hearted smile just melted my heart.
They did a beautiful job, and I hope they will treasure this image when they grow up.
