Sigh.
I LOVE photographing babies. Seriously, I don’t think I will every get tired of it. Every time I have a newborn session, my husband looks at me like “ok, you want to have another one, don’t you?” Despite the fact that we are done having our own, I can’t help but get a little attached to each sweet baby that comes through my door. I love that I can snuggle that little one while moms, or dads, or sometimes, grandmas, can go rest on the couch, put their feet up, and even catch a little nap while I photograph their precious new baby. When my clients come to me for a newborn shoot, my ultimate goal is to capture the most organic, natural, classic images of their baby I can. The little details, the deep slumber, the dreamy little smiles…it’s all part of their story.
This little boy came all the way from West Point to have his pictures taken. After such a long drive, he was hungry and ready to stretch, and STRETCH, and S T R E T C H! He had NO interest in settling down for his pictures, but after LOTS of milk, swaddling, rocking, playing, and snuggling, he settled…and when he did, HE. WAS. OUT! I’m not sure I could have woken him if I wanted to!
